Dear CNM Faculty,

When I began as a student in Fall 2026, I noticed that many of my peers wanted to make friends, but were too shy, or didn’t know how, or didn’t feel they had a place to do it. So many of our students found it particularly hard to build a community at CNM, because there was no place dedicated to making friends on-campus.

In Spring 2026, I worked with a classmate, Jacob, and an instructor, Heather, to devise a solution. Together, we founded the Suncat Social Club, so that there could be a place at CNM dedicated to helping students connect with one another. In our first semester, we reached 40 students, and we hope to reach many more. To accomplish this, we need your help.

Consider inviting your students to attend our events. Consider posting our club flyer on your Brightspace announcements page. We welcome whatever you would like to do to help the Suncat Social Club.
